Who are the 15-minute calls actually for?

These conversations are prioritized for PE sponsors and operating partners evaluating advisory or board talent, family office principals working through a financial or governance challenge, search firms considering Bill for a board seat, and founders within 3–5 years of a planned exit. If your situation doesn't fit one of those categories, the general inquiry form is the right path — Bill responds to all of them.

Does Bill respond to messages personally?

All substantive inquiries — speaking, advisory, board conversations, and podcast pitches — receive a personal response from Bill or a direct member of the Gridwell Group team within one business day. You will never receive a generic auto-reply as a final response. General inquiries and media requests are handled by the Gridwell Group team.

Is there a fee for the strategy call?

No. The 15-minute strategy call is a direct conversation, not a paid consultation. If the conversation leads to an advisory engagement, board seat discussion, or speaking booking, the relevant fees and scope will be discussed at that point. The call itself is always complimentary.

How far in advance should speaking inquiries be submitted?

For keynote appearances at major conferences, 6–12 months in advance is ideal. For smaller events, corporate programs, or virtual appearances, 8–12 weeks is typically workable. If your timeline is shorter, submit anyway — Bill maintains a hold list for last-minute inquiries and will respond with honest availability.

What's the best way to pitch Bill as a podcast guest?
